A+ Learning Center philosophy

 

At A+ Learning Center, it is my privilege to accompany children as they start their journey of growth and exploration. I take pride in my center and promote a love of learning atmosphere. I am a get on the floor hands - on teacher. My philosophy is based on a nurturing curriculum.

 

It is my goal to prepare each child for a successful transition to kindergarten. This will be achieved by focusing on the four areas of development within the preschool. These areas include Social/Emotional, Physical, Cognitive and Language development.

 

Most importantly, each child will have an age appropriate individual lesson plan. I understand that every child learns differently. I provide many opportunities for them to be challenged and feel pride in all accomplishments here at A+ Learning Center. This coupled with laughter and fun  is what I believe will help a child love to learn as they grow.

 

 

 

 



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Infant Care:

 

Infants and toddlers have a flexible schedule which reflects the child's individual needs. First few weeks I will follow the routine he/she had at home. Infants are given individual attention, including lots of time for talking and interacting. I will provide safe, open spaces for children who are crawling and walking to move freely.

 

I believe infant care should be based on relationship planning- not lesson planning--and should emphasize child-directed learning over adult-directed learning. It is important to assist the infant's intellectual development through attentive reading of each child's cues.

 

I believe it is crucial to give every child tender, loving care and make each daily rountine a learning experience.

 

I, as an adult will always be available to support children who need specific guidance or extra time to make progress in a certain area of development.

 

I feel my childcare has been very succesful due to the passion and dedication that I demonstrate.
